Marge Monko (b. 1976) is an artist living and working in Tallinn, Estonia. She has studied in University of Applied Arts Vienna and in Estonian Academy of Arts from where she got her MA in 2008.
Monko‘s main mediums have been photography and video. She has examined psychoanalysis and it’s impact on woman’s representation in the context of visual culture. Her recent subject has been gendered work in the context of paradigmatic changes of labour policies.
Monko has had solo exhibitions in Tallinn and Helsinki and participated in Biennale of Young Artists in Tallinn autumn 2007. She is teaching in Photography Department of Estonian Academy of Arts and attends a feminist reading group The Elfriede Jelinek School of English Language.
